Role

The Artist

We go through storms of many kinds. It’s not comfortable, or fair, but when we’re through it we learn something about ourselves. We soon forget how we got through it as we prepare for the next one. My point is, when you focus on the fear and worries is when the storm does its damage. People are much more resilient than we give ourselves credit for. So, recall your previous storm. You are resilient. You can overcome. Your prior challenges prove this. Pull from it and live in the joy and hope of seeing through to the other side. Someone I knew once asked, “how is it you could find a flower in the mud?” I thought, What a beautiful metaphor for being joyful through adversity. One thing life promises is an abundance of difficulty, but it’s our choice on what we do during the storms.

"This collection is brought to you by: years of sacrifice, anxiety, sleepless nights, rejection, depression, giving up on painting, unanswered prayers, self-discovery, finding my worth in Christ, answered prayers, awakening, transformation, Love, forgiveness, perseverance, persistence, and handing the glory to God.
